This cocktail is from Florence, Italy and was invented by Count Negroni who, at the beginning of the 1920s, advised the bartender of Caffè Casoni to substitute soda for gin.
It is a blend of organic gin, Pineau des Charentes, herbs and spices. It elegance and character with a touch of bitterness will be perfect for your aperitif.
You can keep your Negroni bottle in the fridge for it to be ready anytime. In an old fashioned glass, use large-size ice cubs (the larger the ice cubs are the less dilution they cause on the drink). Add the dose of your choice, between 5 and 8 cl. Your cocktail is ready.
You can add a slice of orange for decoration or customize your cocktail with a bitter.
